Trevor is a CPA qualified accountant with 20 years experience in financial management in a wide variety of industry sectors.  As well as holding a postgraduate qualification in Commercial Law, Trevor is a Chartered Company Secretary and has filled multi-disciplinary roles within significant companies such as BGC Australia, Toll Holdings and the Cool or Cosy Group.

Trevor has been and remains the Group Financial Controller for Sphere Minerals Limited, and has been acting in an equivalent role for Shield Mining Limited since December 2007.

Phil Fillis M.Sc; FAusIMM.(CP), FIMMM., MAIG., MICA
Consultant Geologist

Phil has over 30 years’ experience in the exploration and mining industry.  Following graduation from the University of London with a B.Sc in 1972 and from the University of Leicester with an M.Sc in 1974, Phil spent the first 15 years of his career with major corporations (Seltrust, US Steel Corp, Esso Minerals).

Since 1986, as an Independent Consultant, Phil has undertaken many on-site exploration or mining project reviews and technical audits, and taken part in several feasibility studies. Commodities studied include gold, platinum, base metals, nickel, iron ore and uranium. Geographical areas covered comprise the Australasia - Pacific region, south-east Asia, China, Europe, West and South Africa, Brazil, Peru, Central Asia and Russia.

Phil is a director and Principal Geologist of DevMin Pty Ltd (http://www.devmin.com.au/), an independent mining consulting group based in Perth, Western Australia and a non executive director of Rusina Mining N.L.(RML:ASX & RMLA:AIM)

Moctar Keita B.Sc
Exploration Manager

Our Exploration Manager is Moctar Keita, a very  experienced geologist based in Mauritania. Following his degree in geology from the University of Marrakesh, Morocco, he worked for SNIM for 8 years in Mauritania, mainly on gold and base metals. He has been with Shield since January 2007.
